The LISD Office of Communications kindly request your support for our upcoming Annual Belle of the Ball Prom Program. As we prepare for this special occasion, we are collecting formal and semiformal gowns for our young ladies and Tuxedos and sports coats and ties for our young men to provide them with memorable attire for their prom night.

If you have any gently used formal or semiformal dresses, Tuxedos and sports coats and ties that you would like to donate, we would be immensely grateful for your contribution. Your generosity will directly impact the lives of our students and help make their prom experience truly unforgettable.

🚀Aerospace Giant at Cigarroa 🚀

We are thrilled to introduce a brand-new initiative designed to bridge the gap between our classrooms and professional STEM careers.
To kick off the series, we had the incredible honor of welcoming Aerospace expert Ms. Adriana Ocampo (Retired, Boeing Technical Operations)! ✈️✨

Ms. Ocampo shared an incredibly inspiring message with our students: Dream big, no matter your background. 💫 She reminded us that the sky is not the limit—it's just the beginning. She also shared details about her amazing scholarship program, specifically designed to support female students who are passionate about pursuing higher education. 📚👩‍🔬

A huge shoutout to our CHS Career Technology Education (CTE) department for putting this incredible event together, and a special thank you to our Event Lead Teacher, Ms. Yesenia Escobedo, for bridging these fruitful partnerships! 🙌👏

To Infinity and Beyond! The Nixon High School library was transformed into the magic of “Toy Story” featuring nostalgic decorations, and vibrant characters in celebration of LISD’s Special Education students.

The LISD Special Education Department held it’s Champions Awards Ceremony recognizing special education students from Martin, Nixon, and Cigarroa High Schools.

The students, who are part of the district’s self-contained units, were honored for exceling in the classroom by being responsible, having good attendance, and being eager to learn.

Congratulations to Cigarroa High School's Nelly Macias for being named LISD's March Student of the Month. The LISD Student of the Month is sponsored by Laredo Federal Credit Union, Chick-Fil-A Marketplace on Bob Bullock, and Laredo Orthodontics.
